“Catalysing new developments geared towards restoring or enforcing the quality of the landscape.”
Landscapes do change, just as societies do. New agricultural techniques, for example, might have a severe impact on the landscape. Or the necessity to plan, expand or adapt the local infrastructure. Waterways that need to be controlled, or widened, and that can be beautified and activated for human use at the same time. Thus, carefully developed landscape visions lead to designs that add value to society and nature.
Green and blue
Landscape architecture plays an important role in KC’s integrated approach to solving the complex challenges of our living environment. As we think in concepts, we usually start with a landscape vision. Often, such visions catalyse several new developments geared towards restoring or enforcing the quality of the landscape. A strong and vital landscape can carry the developments of society.
Green and blue are common motifs in KC’s landscape designs. We believe these are much-needed lifelines, and fundamental to the quality of the landscape.
